In 2024, PowerGen signed a contracting agreement with Bezeq, under which the parties will work as a joint venture (50%:50%) to supply electricity to domestic consumers and small/medium businesses, as part of the change in regulation in 2024, which opened the supply market to private entities as well. PowerGen will operate playing a dual role in the company – the first, as an electricity generator selling electricity to the company. The second, as an equal partner in the supply segment of the joint company.
