Generation Capital raised 280 million shekels in a private offering of shares and warrants to institutional investors

Generation Capital, managed by Yossi Zinger and Erez Balasha, raised 280 million shekels in a private placement of shares to institutional investors. The private placement was conducted at a price of 119.7 agorot per share, 3.2% higher than the stock’s closing price yesterday.

Since the fund also issued two warrants for every three shares purchased, the total securities package reflects a 2.4% discount on the share price. The warrants can be exercised within 3.25 years at an exercise price of 140 agorot per share. The underwriting of the placement was led by IBI Capital.

Generation is conducting the placement after its stock rose 60% since the beginning of 2025. The main buyer in the placement was Mor Investments, which purchased shares worth 125 million shekels, or 45% of the total fundraising. This comes after Mor Investments had previously criticized Zinger and Balasha and sold its holdings in the fund.

Other investors in the private placement included the insurance companies Phoenix, Migdal, Menora, Yelin Lapidot, and Harel. Demand for the placement reached 450 million shekels, and the fund chose to respond to 280 million shekels of that demand.

The proceeds from the placement will be used by Generation primarily for investments and the development of activities in the energy and environmental sectors. The fund expects significant growth in these areas in the coming years.
